我的家乡新丰镇位于嘉兴南湖之滨,新丰姜是家乡的土特产。
说起新丰姜,远近闻名,它的用处很多,烹饪、佐餐、配药……家家户户都少不了它。
我们全家对新丰姜有特殊的感情。爷爷早先是开姜行的,他对姜的知识懂得很多。每年6月开始种姜,9月下旬,姜便可以从畦里挖出来。一到10月,便有大量姜货运往外地。这时,小小的新丰镇上,街道两侧摆的都是姜,新姜、窖姜、嫩姜、老姜,应有尽有。姜家客商,你买我卖,十分热闹。
姜是一种不可缺少的.调味品。它辣味喷香,味道鲜美,烧鱼、煮肉、除腥、去暄,都离不了它。在丰收节的河蟹家宴上,各家各户都在餐桌上备有一小碟姜粒子普油,这才使河蟹的味道更加鲜美。
爷爷还常用嫩姜浸腌美味清口的“紫姜”。这也是本地传统的名优产品:把刚挖出的嫩姜洗干净,用盐拌一拌,去了卤水,把嫩姜浸人酱油中,放些糖,过两天便可食用。它不论过饭,还是过粥,都能让人胃口大开。爷爷爱吃“紫姜”,我们全家也都爱吃。
听爷爷说,新丰老姜在《本草纲目》中便有记载,它可以配制健胃祛寒的良药。
记得我小时候,常常发寒热,有时卧床不起,当时去嘉兴大医院也不方便。妈妈便将老姜切成片,煮成汤,放上红糖,端到床前,让我一饮而尽。这花不了几分钱的姜汤,还真灵,喝下去,一会儿,便出了一身热汗,第二天下床,便觉得精神清爽。
去年冬天,我手上生了冻疮,怪痒痒的,我涂了好多种冻疮药都没能治好。爸爸拿半截子老姜在痒块上擦了几次,慢慢我的冻疮便消肿了。
新丰姜看上去不起眼,但它给我们生活带来了方便,我赞美家乡的新丰姜!

蟹黄汤包的看相特别好。远看那汤包如一片白色的荷叶,近看那汤包又圆又鼓又扁,微微透明的皮子显露出一丝土黄色,像中国小娃娃的小脸蛋。瞧着这一张可爱的“脸”似乎都不忍下口了,
蟹黄汤包的外表也不赖。当蟹黄夹杂着面粉的香味扑鼻而来之是,你一定把刚才的不忍都抛到九霄云外了,将不忍换成了忍不住,嘴也不听指挥了,冲向汤包,一口咬了下去。当那可口的、土黄色的汁水流到你嘴中每个角落是,整个人都会沸腾了,再也抑制不住自己了,一口接一口地咬下去,不吃饱不罢休。
蟹黄汤包的吃法类似与无锡小笼包。先在边缘咬以个小口子,通过那个小口子将其中热腾腾的、土黄色的汤汁吸掉。我喜是在吸食用手轻轻按压,加快汤汁到口的速度。待汤汁吸干后,便如蚕食桑叶般大口大口的吃掉皮子。当皮子只留下最后一点点时,蟹黄汤包的精华部分——蟹黄,便露出来了。我自创地食用方法是:先用勺子或筷子套出蟹黄放在盘子里,接着吃掉皮子,最后细细品尝蟹黄。
如果你想将汤包带回家慢慢想用的话,只要向饭店购买外袋装就行了。回家后,将汤包及时放入冰箱,当要食用时取出适量,每个汤包放入一个餐盘中。待蒸锅中水开后,连餐盘放入锅中蒸。在汤包沸腾后再蒸一到两分钟,美味的蟹黄汤包就出炉了。
在第一次吃汤包时,因为味儿太好,让人吃一个想两个,吃两个想三个……不到吃饱令人不报不罢休!所以我就给它取了一个外号:无底洞。
